Found a nifty party idea on diys.com – “12 Easy DIY Birthday Decor Ideas” – unfortunately there’s no instructions but if you have a little “craftiness” inside you, then you’ll adore making these. You can even get the Birthday Child involved, they love being part of creating that birthday magic.

Hands up parents if there’s little pom-poms and shiny little jewels lying around the house…or even glittery stickers!

The reason why we love this party prop so much, is that you can use anything just about anything, the possibilities are endless!!

If you don’t have these at home, head to shops like BigW, Kmart, any craft stores, dollar stores or even Officeworks. Sometimes your local supermarket has a little party or stationary section. That’s the beauty of this idea, you can get cheap Party Hats, fun little items and sticky tape anywhere.

But sometimes sticky tape just doesn’t cut it, that’s where a hot glue gun comes in handy, to make a more “professional” look.

Then just start sticking!

You can use the same decorations for all the party hats so they match or just go wild and create all different styles. Whip out that hot glue gun and let’s get CRAFTY.
